New POS design: More speed and flow for your front-of-house team

More updates from Last.app! We know that in the middle of service, every second counts. That's why we've decided to give the visual structure of our POS a well-deserved refresh. This update has one single goal: to give the front-of-house team absolute fluidity. We want interacting with the POS to be faster, more intuitive, and above all, much easier to use day in, day out.

This new look is just the foundation for everything that's coming. Get ready — over the next few weeks we'll keep rolling out more improvements so technology gives you control, not headaches.

An interface that adapts to you

Until now, the interface could feel a bit overwhelming. We wanted the POS to stop having a rigid structure and become a truly dynamic tool.

The new interface is fully contextual and conditional — it adapts to how your business actually works. If you don't have Bookings or Delivery set up, those sections simply disappear from your view. The result is a much cleaner screen that cuts out the noise and only shows the tools your team actually needs.

Optimised navigation: everything in its place

We've grouped functions by real workflows so operations feel much more natural and require fewer clicks. Here are the main changes:

  • Restaurant: We've centralised the Floor Plan and Quick Mode in one place.
  • Takeaway: Delivery and Take Away now live together under a single menu.
  • Bookings: A dedicated module exclusively for visual and agile management of the bookings diary.
  • Account summary always in view: The complete account list has moved to the side menu.
  • New colours in dark mode: We've refreshed the colour palette for dark mode.

We'll be activating this new design gradually over the coming days. Keep an eye on your screens!
