One of those updates to the Last.app POS has finally arrived — the kind that not many people asked for, but one we'd been wanting to do for a long time. One of those things we do every day that, out of habit, ends up being invisible.
But here it is: a well-deserved overhaul of the till close. Much more useful, more informative, and — why not say it — genuinely great-looking.
Until now, the till close was exactly that: a button, a formality, and on to the next thing. It did its job, but if it's the critical moment where you validate all the money from a shift, why do it blind?

We wanted the close to stop being a simple administrative formality and become a real operational control tool. The goal was clear: give you more visibility, reduce friction on the floor, make the process more flexible and avoid those classic surprise discrepancies.
Fewer human errors, much faster balancing and impeccable traceability. Above all, the peace of mind of knowing everything is perfectly in order when you hit Close.
Currently live in beta with a selected group of customers, and over the next week it will be activated for 100% of customers. Keep an eye on your POS!
Not at all — the POS still flies as fast as ever. You spend a few seconds looking at the screen, but you save the minutes of correcting errors afterwards.
Yes, of course. Each terminal closes at its own pace for full control per shift or per device.
You see it on the pre-close screen. Identify it immediately, adjust what needs adjusting and avoid juggling the accounts the next day.
Only for the better. Your reports now include more information and improve traceability of every penny.
