It's nine at night, the dining room is half full, and your floor manager needs to change the price of a promotion before the next table sits down. They open the admin panel and have to stop and think: was that under Customers, Catalogs, or one of the two Virtual Brands sections they never quite understood? They find it, but it takes longer than it should, right when there's the least time to spare.
That's why we've redesigned the admin panel's side menu. Instead of mirroring how the system is built internally, it now groups every feature by what you actually use it for.
We’ve redesigned the Organization navigation to make the main areas of your business easier to find and access. Instead of placing different management tools under Settings, the menu is now structured around what you want to manage across your business.
Products, reporting, reservations, ordering, guests and marketing now each have a clearer and more predictable place in the navigation.
Previously, some frequently used features appeared in the main navigation while others were placed under Settings. We’ve simplified this so the main areas of your business are easier to access directly.
With this update, Settings is no longer the place where unrelated day-to-day management tools are grouped together.
Whether you’re managing a single restaurant or your entire organization, the navigation now follows the same principle: tools are organized around what you want to do, rather than how the software is structured.
See it for yourself: this is the new menu exactly as it looks for whoever manages the organization, with a built-in search so you can check where each feature ended up.
We’ve redesigned each location’s navigation to make everyday tools easier to find. Previously, many features were grouped under Settings or organized around individual Last.app products. The new menu follows a much simpler logic: the different areas and workflows of your restaurant.
You’ll now find sections such as Front of House, Reservations, Orders & Delivery, Kitchen, Team, Guests, Marketing and Payments. Opening one of these areas gives you access to the related tools in a second-level menu.
For example, everything related to online ordering is now grouped under Orders & Delivery, while your table plan, QR and POS software settings can be found under Front of House.
The navigation may look very different, but the tools you already use are still there. We’ve simply reorganized them:
The goal is simple: you shouldn’t need to know which Last.app product or technical setting a feature belongs to in order to find it. Just think about the area of your restaurant you want to manage.
Apps & Hardware and Settings also remain permanently available at the bottom of the menu for quick access.
And this is the menu for each individual location, also with its own search.
Starting October 12, the new menu becomes the only version available across every admin panel. Until then, it's in public beta: you can already see and use it in your panel, with the option to switch back to the previous version while you get used to it. From October 12, that option to switch back disappears.
Use these next few weeks to explore it at your own pace. You can go into your admin panel right now and try it.
Because your panel should be organized the way you think about your restaurant, not the way it's built underneath.
