The last few weeks have been packed with activity and improvements. This update has a bit of everything: a real-time operational view of your restaurant’s key metrics, improvements to POS and bookings, adjustments that simplify admin and tax management in different countries, and even our arrival on the Mac App Store.
The big one: Real-Time Operational View
You can now get an exact snapshot of your restaurant at this precise moment. We’re not talking about reports that build up over the course of the day — this is a view that instantly shows you what’s happening right now: sales coming in, payments closed, active tables and more. A real-time dashboard that gives you the pulse of operations so you can react and make decisions on the fly, wherever you are.
Whether you’re in the venue or at home, with your phone and in just one second you can see how everything is going and track how the day is progressing. Everything instantly, on mobile or desktop.
And it’s not just a pretty picture of what’s happening — it’s designed for action, not just for looking. Think of it as a live Z-report: a quick, complete overview so nothing slips past you during the day. And for those running multiple venues, there’s also a simplified summary of all your locations.
Go to the admin panel and you’ll see this view is now your new home page.
POS
We’ve added several improvements that will save you headaches and keep everything flowing:
- New card design for the floorplan — more visual and clearer.
- Alert for Windows 7 users: Microsoft has already ended support for it and it’s time to say goodbye. If you’re still running a Windows 7 device, update it as soon as possible to avoid issues or losing service.
- 🆕 USB printing support on Android. We know many of you work with Android tablets connected to printers via USB-C. With this new update, printing receipts is easier than ever — even with simple setups and without any fiddly configuration.
- And now you can reprint your Z-Report without any hassle, whenever you need it.
Bookings (Beta)
Bookings are levelling up too, so everything runs more smoothly:
- Comments enabled on Google Maps Bookings — so you don’t miss anything your customers leave.
- First version of booking reports available for all Beta users.
- Improved automatic algorithm that prioritises other free tables before repeatedly using the same ones.
- Pacing feature: define the maximum number of bookings to accept in a time slot (e.g. 4 every 30 mins).
- Support for all payment guarantee types for Beta users.
- Open tables for walk-in customers now appear as occupied in the view, so it doesn’t look like a table is free when in fact it’s only available for walk-ins. This helps avoid confusion and gives you better occupancy management.
- And yes, you can now send personalised reminder emails to your customers.
Admin & Other Details
- Customer export now includes phone number and email.
- CoverManager integration: We now send walk-ins to CoverManager, so your floor plan is always up to date.
- In the Basque Country, there’s now a TBAI export button in financial records.
